A LABEL WITH A PURPOSE
A new London based collective, it all started when three good friends united by the love of techno gathered weekly to collaborate on new tunes. Novus is a vision, through acid, deep, melodic, and dynamic releases, the label paints a new reality where music is the language and dancing are the words.
Novus supports a higher sense of community and is engaged to help noteworthy and social causes. Novus will donate all the profit generated in a quest to support relevant organizations that are doing good and trying to change the planet for the better. We are Novus. We are techno for good.
Gabriel Baltazar, the Brazilian born, London based Dj and producer started his musical journey playing guitar in rock and punk bands. Influenced by the compelling and energetic sounds of acts such as The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy Baltazar discovered his passion for electronic music. After years of learning and experimenting with different approaches and techniques, Baltazar developed a distinct techno sound, encircled by bass grooves, hypnotic synthetic melodies, and singular percussive patterns.
Strongly influenced by the acid and psychedelic scene, Gatara fell in love with music production during a winter stint in Sweden. Gloomy days and frosty winds fueled his creative mind and catapulted his production skills to new heights. In 6 years, the London based electronic artist has a string of releases on labels such as Uzanza, Genesis Music, Lethal Script and Spaghetti Monster.
Besides an outstanding creative output in the studio, Gatara played in prestigious venues such as Osea Island and had his music premiered worldwide on 8 Day Montreal and Electronic Groove Miami. Gatara’s music transports the listener to a new sonic dimension wrapped with rushed and mechanical progressions, ethereal soundscapes, and arpeggiated acid grooves. Gatara`s music paints a sonic canvas inspired by a higher sense of altruism.
Karl Koller spent over 10 years honoring his craft fusing several electronic styles such as Trance, Techno, House and Acid. this London resident aims to break traditional paradigms of electronic music arrangements and create new sonic experiments regardless of commercial pressure. Inspired by industrial textures, gloomy atmospheres, and dazzling deep grooves Karl Koler’s music is a portal to a darker reality, and a critical analysis of a destructive, egoistic and unrealistic society.
